While EMDR really is so much faster than talk therapy, the answer to how long it takes is “it depends”. So it depends on how deep you would want to go, how much you need or wish to clear out, and your response to the work as we go along.

The sessions for hypnotherapy take between 90 minutes and 2 hours. I recommend you have a light and easy night following a hypnosis session, this is when you would utilize those spa gift certificates you have shoved into a drawer somewhere. Hypnosis is an exploration into past lived experience, whether in this life..or maybe another..who knows. It is up to you how much you would like to journey into these experiences. Most people have one or two sessions like this tops. If you are wanting to work on quitting smoking, there is a 5 session program format for that.

Most people go in and out of trance states on the regular. All a trance state is, is a very focused state of concentration. If you struggle with anxiety, you may have some trouble and you may take yourself out of trance pretty quickly..we can work with that!

Unfortunately, about half of the people that find their way into therapy are there because someone that should be in therapy wont go. If you are struggling with someone you are in relationship with in your life who won’t go, the good news is, you will change the dynamic if you are working on your patterns. It’s like doing a synchronized dance together, if you start doing a different move, the other person has to do something different!
